Location:
Somerset, NJ (onsite 5 days per week).
Salary: $80-90k base
We are an ISO 17025 accredited leader in metrology and calibration services seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Developer, you will design, test, and implement software solutions tailored to our industry‑specific needs, driving the development of cutting‑edge applications that enhance our calibration processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including hardware engineers, domain experts, and quality assurance professionals, to understand requirements and translate them into robust software solutions.
- Lead the development team, ensuring all projects are completed on time and meet company specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications for metrology calibration, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and mentor junior developers.
- Develop and maintain software documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in metrology and software development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on industry‑specific applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, Python, SQL, Java script.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD Dev Sec Ops environments.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with OAuth, API authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Ability to integrate third‑party APIs for data exchange, equipment communication, and system interoperability.
- Familiarity with calibration standards, test and measurement equipment, and metrology processes.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with front‑end development, back‑end development, REST API integrations, and web‑based asset management.
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and other specialized software used in metrology.
