Our client seeks a Cloud Engineer to join the Container Management Platforms area and help build and operate scalable Kubernetes platforms on AWS and Azure. You will extend Kubernetes through operators and custom resources, develop SDKs in Go or Python, and drive CI/CD and Dev Ops practices. The role emphasizes collaboration, open source engagement, and continuous learning within small autonomous teams.

Rate: $75.00 to $80.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities- Design, build, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across EKS and AKS.
- Extend Kubernetes with operators and custom resources.
- Develop platform tooling and SDKs in Go or Python.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
- Build scalable and secure cloud applications and platform services.
- Apply software engineering principles and best practices to platform development.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team and contribute to open source initiatives.
- Operate with autonomy to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Five or more years of experience with a foundation in software development and cloud engineering.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes core concepts and cluster operations.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
- Proficiency in Java or Go with experience creating SDKs and automation scripts.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment.
- Demonstrated Dev Ops mindset and practices.
- Bonus:
Familiarity with Git Ops tooling such as Argo CD.
