Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Java Software Engineer will assist R4 distributed developers in processing daily work, including rehydrations, OPA changes, EOL software updates, server upgrades, Git Hub security violations, creating and monitoring Data Dog logs, disaster recovery testing, B2B certificate renewals, Venafi API authorization changes, and Jira story resolutions. Additionally, this role serves as the R4 point person for production support of distributed applications, addressing issues promptly in collaboration with engineering counterparts.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience
• Expertise in designing a complex network of microservices capable of handling high TPS traffic with low latency
• Expert level development experience in Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks; proficient in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes, and workload/pod optimization and orchestration
• Involvement with CI/CD pipelines, building cloud‑ready scalable APIs and background processes
• Highly proficient in AWS native services, especially EKS and RDS
• Knowledge of streaming and messaging platforms (Kafka)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation reasonably expected. Final compensation may vary. Employee pay is based on education, qualifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and business needs. The range may be modified in the future.
