Job Description:
Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as multiple design techniques. Working proficiency in development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks. Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security.
Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages. Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets Knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment Familiar with development tools such as Jenkins, Git/Bit Bucket, Jira, etc. Knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines 5 plus years of experience with server based Operating Systems such as Windows 2016/2019 (Red Hat Linux/Unix a plus) 5 plus years with database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server Practical working experience with high availability (clusters, failover) and networking (latency, load balancing, firewall) concepts Knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, database design and data warehousing.
Expertise in at least one technology stack designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
Experience with reporting, business Intelligence and visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Power
BI, Cognos, etc.)
Experience with functional, user acceptance and performance testing. Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise and working knowledge of business processes; i.e., the ability to understand 'the business' and the impact of technology solutions Experience working with third party applications and integrations Familiarity with observability practices such as white and black box monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog and Splunk.
Recognize and eliminate toil through systems engineering or automation, and implement observability patterns to improve service level indicators, objectives monitoring, and alerting solutions.
Note:
Pay Range: $60 - $65 The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
