Sr. QA Automation Engineer Playwright

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise with Playwright automation skills to join our QEA team in a permanent role. You will be responsible for developing and completing automated tests, including integration/API tests and end-to-end testing to ensure robust quality coverage for our banking applications.

In this role, you will:

* Develop robust and maintainable automation test scripts using Playwright.

* Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.

* Develop scalable and reusable test automation frameworks using Selenium, Java, and Type Script.

* Conduct comprehensive API testing to validate functionality, reliability, and performance.

* Helps lead test automation effort, advocating for automation and contributes to framework design and suggests process improvements.

* Reviews automated test runs, reports out on automated test execution and coverage statuses, and maintains broken automated tests.

* Identify, log, and track software defects, and work with teams to resolve issues.

* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops.

What you need to have to be considered·

* Must have 6 to 10 years hands on experience in designing automation framework, automation script development and Maintenance with strong expertise in Playwright.

* Minimum 5+ years of experience in automation (UI + API) automation, test automation framework development and test process implementation.

* Must have Minimum 3+ years of experience in Playwright tool using JavaScript or Type Script programming language.

* Strong Knowledge in API automation using Rest Assured automation framework.

* Expert in API functional testing using Postman tool.

* Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins Git Lab CI CD or Azure Dev Ops for automated test execution and integration.

* Strong knowledge of Testing process/types, Agile experience, Defect management tool like qTest, JIRA, ALM, or Test Rail.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $75,000- $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
