Job Description We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our team supporting multi-asset risk and pricing platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, system design, distributed computing, and performance tuning and a proven ability to deliver scalable features, optimize applications, and support complex financial systems. Responsibilities:
Design massively parallel distributed systems using compute grids. Write and modify code across multiple Java applications. Upgrade major Java versions and manage related dependencies. Perform performance tuning and debugging of existing applications. Implement new features based on business requirements for risk and pricing workflows. Develop SQL for data access, transformation, and reporting. Provide L3 support as needed for production systems.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Core Java development, JVM fundamentals, and performance profiling. System design for distributed, high-throughput, low-latency platforms. Proficiency in RDBMS and SQL; data management and analysis capability. Application development experience in Java or Python;
Quartz experience is a plus. Experience upgrading Java versions and optimizing JVM settings. Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work across management levels. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines. Experience participating in large or complex projects and engaging cross-functional teams. Financial products experience required; risk knowledge is a plus. Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in the banking industry.
