Key Job Responsibilities- Agentic AI Systems: Build AI-powered capabilities on Amazon Bedrock Agent Core including content discovery, adaptive participant guidance, automated session summaries with lead scoring, agent-assisted authoring, and simulated participant playthroughs for content validation.
- Multi‑Tenant Platform & Integration APIs: Design multi‑tenant workshop management with partner isolation, access controls, and lifecycle tooling; build integration APIs that enable high‑traffic AWS websites to provide sandbox environments on demand.
- Authentication & Authorization: Evolve authentication and authorization architecture across multiple identity providers to support partner authentication, scoped permissions for external users, and cross‑tenant content sharing.
- Technical Leadership & Operational Excellence: Lead design reviews, mentor backend and frontend engineers, produce architectural documents that shape multi‑year decisions, and own production health through on‑call rotations, incident response, retrospective reviews and runbook maintenance.
Typical activities include leading cross‑team API design reviews with product managers, engineering managers, UX designers, and partner AWS engineers; pairing on database access patterns for the multi‑tenant content store; prototyping AI features that generate post‑event session summaries from platform telemetry; and syncing with program managers on cross‑team dependencies and sprint priorities.
About the TeamThe Workshop Studio team owns React web apps, CDK infrastructure, Go and Python Lambdas, Step Functions workflows, DynamoDB data stores, git repositories for workshop artifacts, and an analytics layer built on Redshift. The team includes an engineering manager, product manager, several backend engineers, a front‑end engineer, a UX designer, technical program managers, a business intelligence engineer, and senior engineers including a principal engineer.
BasicQualifications
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
- 6+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (patterns, reliability, scaling).
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference life cycles, and optimization techniques.
