As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Create innovative technology solutions to support the Client Onboarding and KYC business. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
+ Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software and new product capabilities
+ Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver outcomes aligned to business needs
+ Communicate development progress, risks, and dependencies to the team and key stakeholders
+ Apply Agile practices to support iterative delivery and continuous improvement
+ Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable builds and deployments
+ Use sound object-oriented design and common design patterns to create scalable solutions
+ Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge sharing across the team
+ Contribute to code quality through reviews, testing practices, and defect resolution
+ Work with global technologists to share ideas, improve solutions, and drive innovation
+ Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes while establishing consistent validation standards and promoting reuse of effective patterns
+ Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value realized through automation
** Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills*
* + Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
+ Proficiency in Java development with J2EE server technologies (Web Services, Spring, ORM frameworks, XML, Enterprise Java Beans, JMS)
+ Working knowledge of CI/CD and build tooling (such as Jenkins, Team City, Maven)
+ Working knowledge of design patterns, UML, and object-oriented concepts
+ Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
+ Working knowledge of source control management tools (Bitbucket or equivalent)
+ Working knowledge of UI technologies including HTML5 and Java Script
+ Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) and setting team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
+ Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practices
+ Ability to collaborate within a team and build effective working relationships
+ Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and deliver to tight deadlines
