We are currently seeking a Sr. SDET Engineer (Playwright / Rest Assured / FTE / Onsite) to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey (US-NJ), United States (US).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for web applications, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
- Lead end-to-end test management activities, including test planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking, reporting, and release validation.
- Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java, Spring Boot, Rest Assured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.
- Design automation solutions for functional, integration, regression, API, UI, and end-to-end testing to improve test coverage and release quality.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Dev Ops teams to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives using Jira.
- Design and implement automated API testing solutions using Rest Assured, Karate, and other modern testing frameworks.
- Integrate automated test-suites into CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and Sonar Qube.
- Leverage Azure or AWS cloud platforms to support testing activities in cloud-native and distributed environments.
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, test reports, automation architecture documents, and quality metrics.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool
- 5+ years of experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Test Management lifecycle
- 6+ years of strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or DB2 or Postgres and experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.
- 6+ years of strong experience in Test automation design, development and execution using frameworks eg. Rest Assured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG.
- 6+ years of strong proven experience in programming
- Java/Spring boot. Strong SQL skills are required. Knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript is an added advantage. - 5+ years of strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment
- Git Hub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Sonar Qube, etc. - Demonstrated experience with Azure/AWS cloud technologies, Dev Ops, CI/CD experience.
- Experience in working with Stock Plan Services/ Brokerage is a plus.
- The candidate should have experience in designing test strategy, test automation suites independently for a new product/application.

-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $ to $. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
