Software Engineer, AI Engineer (Applied​/Software), Python

Akkodis is seeking a software engineer for one of our clients in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Rate Range: $55.00/hour to $65.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

We are seeking a talented Python Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in software development and a strong background in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy scalable software solutions and intelligent applications using modern AI technologies. You will work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to develop robust systems that integrate machine learning models, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures into real-world products.

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong emphasis on Python development.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML applications in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and frameworks including Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, Tensor Flow, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience developing solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience with Lang Chain, Lang Graph, and modern AI agent frameworks.
• Strong understanding of API development, microservices architecture, and scalable system design.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with model deployment, monitoring, and optimization best practices.
• Experience with front-end technologies and modern web development frameworks is a strong plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
• Passion for emerging AI technologies and continuous learning.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
