Driver​/Courier

Location: Somerset, NJ (with regular travel to hospital sites in NY and NJ)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Driver/Courier to support our Placenta Donation Program as an independent contractor. This role is responsible for the timely, efficient transportation of supplies and donated placentas between our Somerset, NJ lab and partner hospitals in New York and New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities

• Morning Collection:
  Start the day at our Somerset, NJ lab to collect necessary supplies.
• Delivery:
  Transport supplies to partner hospitals, including Long Island Jewish Medical Center (Queens, NY) and Jersey Shore University Medical Center (Neptune City, NJ).
• Collection:
  Collect boxes of donated placentas from donor coordinators at each hospital, following the day's route.
• Return:
  Bring all collected tissue back to the Somerset, NJ lab, and pick up supplies for the next day's route.
• Errand Running:
  Perform various errands as needed to support the program's operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Valid personal auto insurance, maintained for the duration of the engagement.
• Must own and maintain a reliable personal vehicle to use for all courier responsibilities — mileage, fuel, tolls, and parking are covered by the daily rate.
• Ability to navigate and drive confidently in urban and suburban areas.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

• Independent contractor engagement with early morning start times.
• Frequent travel between Somerset, NJ and hospitals in New York and New Jersey.
• Physical demands include lifting and transporting boxes.
