Alternate Concepts, Inc. (ACI) and Herzog Transit Services, Inc. (HTSI), collectively the ACI/Herzog Joint Venture, along with our key subcontractors are seeking applicants for the Hudson Bergen Light Rail operation located in Hudson County, New Jersey. ACI was founded in 1989 with its corporate office located in Boston, MA and Herzog founded in 1969 with corporate offices located in St. Joseph, MO and Fort Worth, TX.

Combined our companies provide FRA/FTA compliant transportation, equipment maintenance, dispatching, right-of-way maintenance, facility maintenance and dispatching services for 20 distinct client properties. In addition to the Joint Venture being the upcoming operator/maintainer of the Hudson Bergen Light Rail, we currently jointly operate the Tren Urbano heavy rail service in San Juan, Puerto Rico and the CTDOT’s Hartford intercity service in Connecticut.

Full-Time Warehouse Attendant to join our team.

The pay rate for this position is $41,000.00 - $60,000.00.

The Warehouse Attendant will assist with the daily operations of our warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety at all times.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Manage the receiving of incoming materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Ensure that all associated administrative procedures are current and audit ready.
  • Maintain an accurate physical inventory and quality control.
  • Perform monthly inventory cycle counts.
  • Perform annual physical inventory count.
  • Identify returned parts and determine if the parts should be returned to stock or the supplier, sent out for repair, or scrapped.
  • Store articles in proper location according to identifying factors.
  • Pull items, fill orders, issue materials, supplies, components, and parts from documentation as requested.
  • Prepare and pack goods for shipment.
  • Initiate Trapeze purchase requisition for stock items.
  • Maintain safety stock levels for stock items.
  • Run the daily operation of the Warehouse Supply system.
  • Maintain updates in the EAM Reporting System.
  • Replenish the warehouse using the EAM electronic system.
  • Make sure workers have the supplies needed to perform the job.
  • Send monthly reports for printing for document control.
  • Load and unload merchandise for various departments such as the storeroom, Tracks, MOW, MOE, EJ Electric, etc. either with a forklift, hand truck, or manual lifting.
  • Must be flexible and able to adjust to a varied pace of work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the specific knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment Drug and Alcohol screening as well as a background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Education And/or Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum [2] years of material warehouse experience.
  • Associates degree or technical diploma may substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Proficiency in EAM system and Hudson Bergen functions preferred.
  • Experience with a forklift and pallet jack.
Language Skills
  • Ability to speak, read and write English in a work setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write regulatory and departmental reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
