Warehouse and Logistics Manager
Jersey City, NJ | $80,000 to $90,000 per year
A specialty food retailer with a growing regional footprint is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead its product movement and storage operations out of Jersey City, NJ. This is a hands-on operational role with direct responsibility for inventory accuracy, inbound and outbound logistics, and a team of warehouse associates. The position reports to regional Operations and Finance leadership and plays a central role in product availability and cost control across the company.
Full-time, Monday through Friday.
$80,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience.
What You'll DoYou will manage the full scope of daily warehouse operations, including process optimization, team scheduling, facility organization, and safety compliance. Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and running efficiently will be a core part of your day-to-day.
Inventory control is central to this role. You will maintain accurate records across the inventory management system, run routine cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and monitor turnover to flag slow-moving or at-risk stock. Given the perishable nature of specialty food products, attention to shelf life and expiration management is essential.
On the inbound side, you will coordinate incoming shipments from suppliers, verify quantities and product condition on receipt, and ensure timely entry into the WMS. On the outbound side, you will oversee order fulfillment and shipments to retail locations and end customers, coordinate carrier scheduling, and work to optimize transportation costs.
You will directly supervise a core team of 5 to 6 warehouse employees. This includes hiring support, onboarding, day-to-day coaching, performance accountability, and schedule management. Building a culture of safety and productivity within the team is a key expectation of this role.
Cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Finance will be regular. You will contribute to inventory planning discussions, support efforts to reduce shrinkage and waste, and help improve company-wide visibility into stock availability.
