Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Survey Crew Chief in collection of survey data.

Primary Position Duties
  • Work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.
  • Also responsible for the operation and maintenance of survey equipment, taking field notes, data collection, performing calculations and working with staff and clients on these projects.
  • Involvement in the office will include reducing survey data, performing calculations, copying and filing of this data.
  • Maintain and operate all instruments and measuring devices needed to complete different types of survey work assignments; operate and maintain total stations and level.
Position Requirements
  • Fluent English with reading, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams and other video conferencing software.
  • Ability to use Trimble Surveying Equipment and software or similar equipment/software.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, apply problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to independently or as part of a project team and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for this position.
Education or Skills

Required:

  • High school diploma
  • Current Driver’s License

Preferred:

  • Two (2) years surveying experience
