Position SummaryThis role is responsible for managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while supporting broader accounting and administrative activities. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers with accuracy and compliance.
- Process invoices, payments, and credit memos in a timely and accurate manner.
- Research and resolve discrepancies related to payables and receivables.
- Send customer statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure integrity of financial records.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and reconciliations.
- Maintain vendor and customer records, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Support onboarding of new customers and vendors.
- Assist with financial reviews, audits, and compliance documentation requests.
- Provide cross-functional administrative support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience managing accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books Online or ERP systems).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Multi-state sales tax filing and reporting experience.
- Knowledge and practical application of GAAP principles.
- Treasury management experience.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
