Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator will support aerospace and defense manufacturing projects by ensuring seamless communication, timely execution, and cross-functional collaboration. This role focuses on scheduling, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation to meet project timelines and compliance standards. Essential duties and responsibilities include maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and files utilizing various desktop software programs; generating, formatting, analyzing, and editing reports as required; supporting the program manager with the maintenance of project documentation and deliverables; acting as scribe in project meetings and publishing meeting minutes as required; tracking resources related to project activities/tasks; scheduling and tracking meetings as required; monitoring budget adherence and identifying trends or issues that may jeopardize programs;
assisting in the preparation of the program budget and tracking, reporting, and monitoring of actual project expenditures; communicating project needs and escalating to appropriate stakeholders; demonstrating good presentation skills and projecting credibility and poise; facilitating meetings in place of program manager as needed; negotiating effectively within the limits of the Project Coordinator authority; compliance of company standards; preparing and providing programmatic reports as required;
and other duties as assigned.
This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications to perform this job successfully include excellent attention to detail, demonstrated management experience, software proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Auto Cad Inventor, Pro/Engineer and web-based applications; excellent communication skills, both written and oral; adaptability to a changing work environment and competing demands; eagerness to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization; experience in aerospace and defense industry highly preferred.
Education and/or experience include a Bachelor of Science in related field which can be substituted with commensurate experience. Four (4) years manufacturing industry experience. Two (2) plus years' experience in a related role within the aerospace industry.
Language skills include the ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions. Mathematical skills include the ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Reasoning ability includes the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Authorization to work in the United States is required. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, you should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
Physical demands include standing, walking, and hearing. The team member frequently uses hands and fingers; handles, feels, and reaches with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work environment characteristics include exposure to moving mechanical parts. The team member may be exposed to a hot and/or cold work environment, chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, loud noises, risk of electrical shock and vibration and/or other occupational hazards; personal protective equipment may be required.
