One of our most challenging new fields is Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA), which combines the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop radical new energy-efficient computing systems. MDA is seeking a Staff Digital Systems Engineer with demonstrated ability to lead systems engineers in the development of new technologies to support our innovative MDA team in support of emerging supercomputing technologies.
What You’ll Get to Do:
- Work closely with ASIC, FPGA, digital, and analog hardware engineers utilizing your knowledge of systems engineering methods, tools and techniques
- Follow product development from design through board level manufacturing and test.
- Ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across multi-functional teams to develop innovative solutions
- Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.
- Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle.
- Collect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs).
- Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.
- Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline.
This position will serve on-site in Linthicum / Annapolis Junction, MD
.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience.
- Experience facilitating internal and customer collaboration to capture and enhance engineering artifacts.
- Knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly product life cycle.
- Demonstrated experience with the full product life cycle (requirements, design, implementation, and test)
- Demonstrated Requirements Management from Elicitation to Verification.
- Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management.
- Risk and Opportunity Management experience.
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
- Clearance: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary US Government security clearance per customer s requirements
- An active TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph
