Position: Project Engineer / Manager in Jessup

Jr. Project Engineer

The Jr. Project Engineer is responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. This role is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
  • Formulating project parameters and coordinating and monitoring the project team.
  • Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
  • Help oversee construction related activities of Aerolab projects.
  • Help manage construction related budgets and estimate costs.
  • Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project status.
  • Cooperating and communicating with management and other project participants while collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability.
  • Collaborate with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and key members of the project team.
  • Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
  • Collaborate and communicate with project or building ownership when needed.
  • Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly.
  • Participate in meetings for regular progress updates, OAC and pull sessions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors.
  • Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.
  • Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics.
  • Establish field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.
  • Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed.
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards.
  • Ensure project compliance with the applicable codes, safety regulations, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Create and maintain engineering CAD models in Solid Works.
  • Provide engineering support by creating parts and assemblies in Solid Works, along with detailed fabrication and installation drawings.
  • Perform design studies.
  • Maintain engineering bill of material.
  • Coordinate with the company’s mechanical engineers for structural analysis and FEA when required.
  • Function as part of a Product Design Team following the guidance provided by design and project engineers.
