ADC Engineer, ADC2S – Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc., Jessup, MD.
We seek an engineer experienced in integrating large‑scale cloud services with the Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) for government customers. The role requires the candidate to maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and to opt into a clearance for each government agency served.
Responsibilities- Deep dive to root cause customer issues and investigate metric trends.
- Collaborate with top engineers to develop radical new approaches to operational issues.
- Design and build operational scalability that sustains the platform’s growth.
- Diagnose, measure, and automate EC2 platform performance.
- Serve as a master of the EC2 platform, ensuring efficient and effective government services.
- Associate’s degree, or Cloud+ / GICSP / GSEC / SSCP certification.
- 3+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows).
- Experience with scripting languages.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
