Responsibilities- Developing and implementing comprehensive project estimates, budgets, and bids.
- Conducting detailed risk and contract reviews to ensure that all factors have been considered in the estimate.
- Managing and coordinating with project teams to ensure accurate estimations and smooth project execution.
- Utilizing your expertise in AutoCAD to create and review project designs and plans.
- Leading project bidding activities, including preparing accurate and competitive bids.
- Responding to RFIs and managing communication with various project stakeholders.
- Applying cost control strategies to ensure project profitability.
- Utilizing your negotiation skills to secure favorable terms in contracts and procurement activities.
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure that project plans align with company objectives and client needs.
- Continuously updating knowledge of industry trends, materials, and costs to ensure accurate and up-to-date estimates.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, project management, and project planning.
- Proven experience in negotiation, contract negotiation, and cost control.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience in project bidding and responding to RFIs.
- A Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees and certifications are a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
- A solid understanding of the construction industry, including knowledge of materials, labor costs, and current market trends.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to large‑scale construction projects. The Senior Estimator will play a key role in project management, cost estimation, and project planning. This role requires a highly experienced professional who is equipped with excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of contract negotiation and cost control.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of AutoCAD, project bidding, and RFIs.
This will have limited travel through MD/DC/VA with reimbursement for travel when necessary. Really great team and room to become an even more senior leader down the road.
