At AWS Enterprise Support we’re looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to support our customers’ creative and transformative spirit of innovation across all technologies, including Compute, Storage, Database, Machine Learning, AI, Big Data, Security, Networking, Serverless and more.
This is not a sales role, but rather an opportunity to be the strategic technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ to National Security customers.
As a TAM, you will help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, Dynamo
DB & RDS databases, Lambda, Sage Maker, ECS/EKS, Guard Duty, Systems Manager, Code Pipeline, IoT, and many more. Your technical acumen and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer’s environment, and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support and risk management.
You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively keep your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy. The close relationships developed with your customers will allow you to understand their business and operational needs and technical challenges, and help them achieve the greatest value from AWS. This position requires the ability to travel 10% or more as needed.
Responsibilities- Advocate and provide strategic technical guidance to National Security customers.
- Craft and execute plans to increase adoption of AWS services across multiple domains.
- Represent AWS within customers’ environments and drive discussions with senior leadership on incidents, trade‑offs, support, and risk management.
- Maintain operational health of customers’ AWS environments through proactive monitoring and problem resolution.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with senior stakeholders to understand business and technical needs.
- Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 2+ years of technical work experience.
- 2+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Experience in information technology operations.
- Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer‑facing environment as a technical lead.
- 5+ years of communicating with and presenting to executive and senior audiences.
- Experience developing in a distributed systems environment.
- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Experience diagnosing challenges and collaborating across teams and data sources to recommend solutions.
- Understanding of the AWS Well‑Architected Framework pillars and ability to apply them to customer solutions.
The base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually.
