Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will define projects, break down work to set milestones, and identify when implementations are not highly available or have defects. You will investigate systemic patterns, resolve, mitigate, or escape operational concerns in a timely manner.
A Day in the Life- Investigate new ways to improve operations and define solutions to solve technically complex cloud issues.
- Take a proactive approach to maintaining service health by investigating performance outliers through metric analysis and log diving.
- Increase service knowledge by diving deep into its architecture to better understand system configuration and dependencies.
- Study and learn with some of the industry’s top experts on cloud computing and storage.
- Expand regional coverage for Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3).
- Build and launch AWS services from ordering hardware to deploying software.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation.
- Support the U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies to implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve unique technical problems.
This position requires a current active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The candidate must opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications- Associate’s degree or above, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- 2+ years of systems administration experience (Linux and/or networking).
- Strong debugging and systems analysis skills to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host.
- Experience working with at least one scripting language.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- 2+ years experience with cloud computing technologies.
- In lieu of above relevant work experience, a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
