We are seeking a talented engineer to operate and engineer EC2 systems for government customers. This role requires a deep passion for cloud computing, an agile mindset, and a willingness to decompose and reinvent systems, processes, and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, diagnosing, responding to, measuring, and automating EC2 platform issues.
- Design and build operational scalability that sustains the platform’s growth.
- Root‑cause customer issues, investigate metric trends, and collaborate with top engineers to innovate operational solutions.
- Maintain and update TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and opt into additional clearances as required.
- Associate’s degree or industry certifications such as Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
- 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
- 7+ years of scripting language experience.
- Experience in network protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) and Linux networking.
- 5+ years of experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.).
- Experience developing distributed service applications and user experience scenarios.
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
- Experience with systems administration (Linux/Windows), network administration (DNS, IPsec, BGP, VPN, load balancing), or programming (Node.js, Java, Ruby, C#, Python, PHP).
- Experience maintaining distributed systems and web services.
- 4+ years of test automation framework development.
- 4+ years of deploying and operating in Linux/Unix environments.
