Senior Engagement Manager

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. The mission of the DoD Engagement Management team is to "Deliver with Excellence: PLAN, EXECUTE, CONTROL, BUDGET, STAFF, and COMMUNICATE with Excellence."

We're seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Engagement Manager to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects that make a real difference for our Department of Defense customers.

Key job responsibilities include owning, leading, and shaping large and/or complex engagements to deliver business outcomes, influencing multiple external teams, applying multiple delivery frameworks, effectively communicating across diverse internal audiences, impacting organizational metrics, leading the lifecycle of complex technical engagements, and accelerating progress by creating or optimizing cross-team processes.

A day in the life involves leading complex cloud projects for Department of Defense customers, coordinating AWS specialists, solutions architects, and partner companies, controlling project budgets, communicating with stakeholders and customers, and identifying and mitigating risks constantly.

Basic Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience, 5+ years of cloud computing experience, experience in project management of technical programs, 5+ years of IT implementation experience, and current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

Preferred Qualifications include 1+ years of professional work experience, or experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings, knowledge of AWS services, Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Associate, experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers, experience supporting National Security mission systems, and the ability to represent AWS within the customer's environment, driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
