Principal Solutions Architect, National Security Solutions Architecture Team

Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support US Government customers in the DC Metro / Fort Meade, MD area. The role involves partnering with customers, AWS Sales, and other teams to craft scalable, secure cloud architectures for Intelligence Community agencies, driving revenue growth and advocating AWS adoption.

• Formulate and execute sales strategy with sales team to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption.
• Build and migrate applications, software, and services on AWS as key business development partner.
• Educate and train customers on AWS value proposition and guide them through deep architectural discussions.
• Conduct training sessions for customers, transferring knowledge and building cloud advocacy.
• Capture and share best‑practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Author or contribute to customer‑facing publications such as whitepapers.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers.
• Act as technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.

• 10+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph.

• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• Past experience as a systems or support engineer and pre‑sales.

Base salary range: $182,800 – $247,300 annually (USD). Salary determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Total compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
