$19.00/hr - $22.00/hr

MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking a Field Technician (ITS) in the Annapolis, Maryland area to support our fast-growing Voice division.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Communicating with designated Technical Business Unit (TBU) and/or Contractor personnel when arriving at a field site and when completing work activities.
• Safeguarding sensitive systems data, contact information, passwords, combinations, keys, etc.
• Verifying the performance of Intelligent Transportation Society (ITS) systems using commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS) tools and/or software tools available from the TBU.
• Providing support to TBU officials with training development and research development efforts, as needed.
• Testing, repairing, and maintaining various types of electronic equipment.
• Obtaining security clearances and badges as required.
• Completing all required paperwork and documentation.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

• At least 1 year of experience in hands-on installing and servicing various electronic equipment.
• Travel to various work locations statewide is required as needed.
• Ability to work as a team member to achieve a shared goal or outcome.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.

YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use;

be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.

On-call for critical systems maintenance may be required. First shift hours Monday – Friday, with occasional 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends depending on project schedules.

Travel as necessary to support company and customer needs.
