Position: Manager Distribution Operations - 928

Position Summary

Love solving problems and keeping operations running efficiently? Join our Distribution Team and drive process improvements, ensure timely delivery, and help keep products moving across our supply chain. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the department responsible for meeting or exceeding the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within a distribution facility, assist the Facility Manager with developing operational goals, monitoring performance against the operating budget, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities to improve productivity or resolve potential labor issues.

You Will Do
  • Supervise and participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating plans, work processes, systems, and procedures to achieve goals, objectives, and work standards, including minimizing inaccuracy and scratches.
  • Account for the consistent application of all policies and procedures to foster a positive work environment and a climate of teamwork.
  • Ensure adherence to engineered labor standards and monitor pay‑for‑performance reports, reviewing and correcting pay issues discovered with the payroll department to maintain compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and problem‑solve all operating system issues and processes, contributing innovative and effective suggestions for improvement and providing resources for implementation.
  • Supervise administrative hourly associates and supervisors, planning and evaluating performance, establishing performance requirements and personal development targets, and providing coaching for improvement.
  • Partner with Human Resources to prevent, investigate, resolve, and answer associate questions and concerns, improving employee relations through open communication and respect.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with merchandising, purchasing, store operations, and other departments to enhance cross‑department teamwork and identify opportunities to improve operating efficiencies.
  • Coordinate all efforts between shipping, receiving, inventory control, safety, and sanitation departments to ensure optimal facility service and productivity.
  • Participate in supply chain meetings, vendor meetings, and interdisciplinary groups.
  • Monitor on‑the‑job training schedules to create consistency and balance between departments, monitor warehouse for indications of union organizing, and report findings to senior leadership.
  • Work with Security to ensure adherence to established security procedures.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Logistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5‑7 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics, warehousing, and/or transportation, preferably within a retail organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control, shipping, receiving, productivity management systems, quality management, OSHA regulations, and state safety regulations, with a sound understanding of financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated leadership and managerial skills that generate mutual respect and understanding; strong interpersonal, coaching, conflict management, process improvement, and change management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to take assignments in any warehouse/distribution center on any shift.
