We are looking for engineers to implement and operate large cloud computing infrastructure for U.S. Government agencies, focusing on the AWS RAPP (Route 53 and Perimeter Protection) ADC team. The role requires deep knowledge of Linux, networking, cloud services, and the ability to automate system management.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Route 53 and Perimeter Protection services provide a 100% uptime SLA through software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Manage and monitor systems in air‑gapped regions.
- Develop infrastructure‑as‑code and operator tools to reduce human intervention.
- Identify and resolve high‑availability or defect issues, investigate systemic patterns, and mitigate operational concerns promptly.
- Define project milestones and feedback mechanisms in collaboration with teams.
- Programming experience in at least one modern language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, Power Shell, Ruby).
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- 1+ year of designing or architecting new or existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
- Current, active U.S. Government security clearance TS/SCI with polygraph.
- Experience with highly concurrent, high‑throughput systems and complex distributed systems.
Base salary range: 99,100.00 – USD annually (Denver, CO; Jessup, MD; Arlington & Herndon, VA).
