This position will provide clinical and managerial supervision of Nursing Staff at a 210 bed facility for psychiatric patients admitted to the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Twelve units provide psychiatric assessment, reassessment and treatment with medical care of somatic illness as necessary.

• Education:
  
  A Master's degree in Nursing or a health–related field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience:
  
  Four years as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric setting, including two years in a supervisory, consultative, teaching or administrative capacity.
• Substitutions: A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a health–related field and six years of experience under the same conditions, or U.S. Armed Forces military service at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher in nursing classifications can be substituted for education and experience.

• Experience managing day-to-day clinical/nursing operations in an acute or inpatient behavioral hospital.
• Experience managing scheduling.
• Knowledge of TJC, COMAR, and CMS regulations of a behavioral health hospital.

• Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi‑state license in a designated primary state of residence.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license in Maryland if required for job duties.
