Job Description Quality Inspector
Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM### Overview The Quality Inspector supports production operations by conducting sampling, inspections, and basic testing of spice and seasoning products to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with GMP and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform raw material sampling, visual inspections, and quality control testing
* Conduct sample preparation, receiving, and management activities
* Verify labeling, weights, and packaging accuracy
* Monitor production control points, including metal detection checks
* Document inspection results and enter data accurately
* Identify and report quality deviations or non-conformances
* Maintain clean and compliant lab and production work areas### Qualifications
* 1+ year of quality inspection experience withing the food/beverage manufacturing industry
* Experience with QA/QC processes, visual inspection, and data entry
* Background in laboratory procedures, sample testing, or chemistry fundamentals
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Experience in food manufacturing or laboratory environments
* Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and food safety standards
* Comfortable working in both production and lab environments with chemical exposure
* Bachelor’s degree (preferred), but minimum a high school diploma### Work Environment
* Manufacturing setting with loud noise, variable temperatures, and strong spice odors
* Combination of production floor and laboratory work
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jessup, MD.Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
