Software Engineer

Entry level software engineer responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems, including processing intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real‑time systems, and business management information systems.

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories

• An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
• No demonstrated experience is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university

• Documented training and practical experience in multiple programming languages
• Four (4) years of software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
• Experience developing and maintaining software solutions using technologies such as:
  • Programming languages: C, C++, Java script, Java, J2EE, Go (Golang), Genesis, Snort, Bash, Python, Distillery, Quiz Kid
  • Frameworks, lifecycle management, and development tools:
    Hibernate, Spring Boot, ExtJS, Angular

  • Cloud technologies:
    Pig, Hive, Apache Spark, Azure Data Bricks, Storm, HBase, Hadoop Distributed File System, Map Reduce
  • Open‑source virtual machines and cloud‑based systems:
    Open Stack, Open Shift, Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services
  • Application servers:
    Node.js, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle Glassfish, JBoss, Apache Tomcat
  • Data interchange formats: JSON, Avro, XML, STIX
  • Data environments:
    Oracle, Sybase, Postgre

Proposed salary range: $72,700 – $149,200

Accepting assignment as a regular employee under a full‑time contract. Travel may be required up to 10% within the continental United States.
