Assistant General Manager

Position Summary

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the store, ensuring a fast and friendly customer experience and mentoring team members.

• Assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations.
• Maintain a courteous, friendly attitude toward customers and team members.
• Stock and restock inventory throughout the facility.
• Check in vendor deliveries and complete necessary paperwork.
• Prepare shift reports, gasoline reconciliation, and cigarette counts.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Assist the Store Manager as needed.

• Minimum of one year retail experience.
• General computer knowledge.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and operate electronic equipment and sales transactions.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be able to stand at all times; able to kneel, lift, and bend up to 25 pounds.
• Must work any shift within operational hours, including weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

• Ensure physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities.
• Lift up to 30 pounds at times.
• Traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods standing and working at a cash register.
