Position: Payroll Administrator | Fixed Term Contractor
Location: Randburg

Function Finance/Administration Facility Position Payroll Administrator | Fixed Term Contractor Introduction

A vacancy exists for a Payroll Administrator (fixed term contractor) in the HR Back Office reporting to the HR Systems Specialist for a period of 6 months. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure payroll administration is completed efficiently and accurately in line with Governance processes in order to achieve Company strategic objectives.

Critical Outputs
  • Review payroll documentation for completeness and ensure LHC standards and practices are adhered to.
  • Perform accurate and efficient payroll processing.
  • Effectively create and extract reports based on Ad hoc requirements from the business
  • Escalate non-compliance where appropriate.
  • Review audit checklists received from payroll specialists and report back on anomalies.
  • Conduct self-audits and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Plan workload according to set deadlines.
  • Review relevant query on Service Now and assist FPA or line managers with appropriate resolution in line with LHC standards and practices.
  • Effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders through participating in formal and informal communication sessions.
  • Effective governance. Identify gaps and implement remedial action, including escalation where necessary.
  • Support the HR systems team with Vision and Kronos related queries. Assist in special projects as requested by management.
  • Requirements
  • Relevant qualification with 3 to 5 years’ experience within a large (5000+) corporate environment will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge and background of Educos/Vision.
  • Basic knowledge of the Kronos system (Time and attendance) will be an advantage.
  • Exposure to HR systems within large corporate environment.
  • Basic knowledge of SA tax legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel) will be required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Own transport will be an advantage.
