A vacancy currently exists for the position of Exports Administrator. The Exports Administrator will be responsible for the processing of all export sales orders from start to finish, and to provide a support function for the sales team.

Key duties and responsibilities
  • Oversee and process all export customer transactions accurately and timeously from entry to finalisation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee all related export documentation, invoices and inspections.
  • Manage all export customer feedback requirements regarding order status, back order reporting and general inquiries in adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Provide a supporting role to the sales team.
  • Develop positive relationships with export customers and provide professional customer service and support to these customers.
  • Foster relationships with internal colleagues and relevant business departments to ensure correct dispatch of export orders.
  • Use initiative and be proactive in resolving export customer queries promptly.
  • Promote total customer satisfaction internally and externally through providing professional services and prompt query resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Key Competencies
  • Grade 12
  • Exports qualification / logistics or similar (highly beneficial)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Understanding the export cycle, cross trade and documentation
  • Understanding of export sales environment and export documentation
  • Knowledge of the South African and foreign customs acts
  • Computer knowledge: SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, telephonic as well as mail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
