This position requires full-time presence at our Centurion, South Africa office.
We're looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our Quality team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our products meet environmental and regulatory compliance requirements across their full lifecycle — from design and sourcing through manufacturing, sales, and export. You'll focus on data collection, documentation, monitoring, and coordination, working alongside senior compliance and management staff to minimise regulatory risk and support market access.
WhatYou'll Do Environmental & Product Compliance Support
You'll provide administrative and coordination support for environmental compliance requirements including RoHS, REACH, TSCA, ELV, PFAS, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, and others as needed. Day-to-day, this means collecting and maintaining supplier declarations, material disclosures, and certificates of compliance. You'll capture and update compliance data in internal systems, assist with regulatory submissions (e.g. SCIP), and support compliance checks for new products and engineering changes.
A big part of this role involves working closely with procurement to request and follow up on supplier compliance information, tracking outstanding documentation, and escalating delays when required. You'll also support engineering and manufacturing teams with basic compliance queries and help communicate compliance requirements in a clear and practical way.
Monitoring, Records & AuditsYou'll maintain organised, up-to-date compliance files and registers, assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and evidence, track corrective actions, and support risk registers and compliance trackers.
Training & AwarenessYou’ll assist with the coordination of compliance training and awareness sessions across the business.
What We're Looking ForMinimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (with maths and science)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in regulatory compliance within a manufacturing or high-tech environment
- Proficiency in MS Office with intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- A qualification or degree in Compliance, Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Exposure to manufacturing, electronics, or technical environments
- Hands-on experience with environmental product compliance (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, etc.)
- Experience working with suppliers and technical documentation
- Practical experience with export control or arms control compliance
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Altium, Silicon Expert, or compliance databases and ERP systems
- Understanding of RF, electronics, or electromechanical products
You're methodical, structured, and deadline-driven. You have a strong attention to detail and a genuine eagerness to learn. You're comfortable collaborating across technical and non-technical teams, and you're not afraid to ask questions or escalation issues when something doesn't seem right. Strong organisational and time-management skills round out the profile.
