Litigation Attorney Newly Established Division

Position: Litigation Attorney - (Newly Established Division)
SA - Gauteng, RosebankR
30 000 - R35 000 Monthly Cost To Company Our client is in the process of establishing a dedicated Litigation Department and is seeking a dynamic and driven Admitted Attorney to join and grow the division.
This role is strictly litigation-focused and presents an exciting opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about court work and eager to play a key role in building a department from the ground up
Salary: R30 000 - R35 000 CTC per month, based on experience

Minimum Requirements:

Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa

3 - 4 years post-admission experience in civil litigation and debt collection

Strong court litigation experience (Magistrate’s Court and High Court)

Experience with divorce proceedings

Sound knowledge of jurisdiction of courts and sheriffs

Proficient in Court Online

Ability to liaise professionally with clients

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting, settling, and arguing key pleadings and affidavits

Managing civil litigation and debt recovery matters from inception to finalisation

Negotiating favourable settlements and repayment plans where commercially viable

Providing strategic legal advice to clients

Liaising with sheriffs, tracing agents, and external counsel where necessary

Maintaining meticulous physical file management

Accurate note-taking and recording of billable hours

Handling client and debtor interactions professionally and effectively
