The role ensures alignment between global brand strategy and local market execution, delivering sustainable revenue growth, margin performance, regulatory compliance, and long-term portfolio health.
The incumbent acts as the local custodian of the brand and business owner of the product portfolio, balancing commercial objectives with brand integrity and market relevance.
Scope of the Role The Brand & Product Manager holds full end-to-end portfolio accountability, including:
- Product strategy and lifecycle management
- Brand positioning and value proposition development
- Pricing architecture and margin optimisation
- Portfolio performance monitoring and analysis
- Launch strategy and range planning
- Regulatory and compliance oversight
- Cross-functional coordination and commercial alignment
The role operates across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Service, Finance, and International Head Office structures to ensure alignment between commercial execution and brand strategy.
Decision-Making Authority The Brand & Product Manager is responsible for:
- Portfolio direction recommendations
- Pricing strategy proposals
- Range rationalisation recommendations
- Launch timing recommendations
- Margin improvement initiatives
- Commercial risk identification and escalation
Final approval authority remains with Executive Management unless otherwise delegated.
Minimum Requirements Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
- Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) – advantageous.
Experience
Minimum 5–8 years’ relevant experience in:
- Product Management
- Brand or Category Management
- Commercial / Business Management
- Durable consumer goods, appliances, or technical products
Experience must include:
- Commercial performance accountability
- Pricing and margin management
- Forecasting and budgeting exposure
- Cross-functional stakeholder management
- Experience working within an international or multi-market structure
Exposure to regulatory compliance within technical product environments – advantageous.
