THE ROLEWe are looking for a dynamic Marketing Executive to join our MEA marketing function and help drive brand awareness and demand generation campaigns across Africa. This maternity‑cover role will run for 12 months (1 April 2026 – 31 March 2027) and will empower you to plan and execute marketing initiatives that generate pipeline opportunities using the full marketing mix.
OPPORTUNITIES- You will work closely with Sales Directors and their account management teams to identify opportunities for marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives.
- You will develop, implement, and evaluate the success of online and offline lead generation marketing campaigns across product lines such as Core Banking, Payments, SaaS, Wealth, Islamic and Digital Banking to support sales in both existing and new business.
- You will assist with planning and organizing Temenos‑hosted and industry events, taking the lead on logistics, compiling relevant marketing collateral, and providing on‑ground event support.
- You will coordinate regional PR stories and launch press releases, success stories or case studies with our internal PR and Social Media teams for maximum exposure.
- You will work with the in‑house Brand and Design teams to oversee the marketing content creation process and ensure high‑quality, innovative content and assets in English and French.
- You will develop regional campaign content for e‑mailers, Whats App Business, website landing pages, and contact forms on , supported by the Digital Marketing team.
- You will manage regional partners and develop, implement, and measure the success of joint partner marketing activities and PR initiatives.
- You will align with the Head of Marketing: MEA on the Africa marketing budget, forecast spend, and manage vendor onboarding, purchase orders, invoices, and liaison with finance.
- You will be responsible for branding and collateral stock and order processing to ensure the brand is consistently represented.
- You will review the success of marketing campaigns, refine segmentation, design, or positioning, and prepare quarterly reporting on Africa campaign performance.
- You will work closely with Marketing Operations and Sales to ensure lead monitoring, data accuracy, conversion rates, and ROI measurement.
- You will monitor, evaluate, and report on pipeline generation and ROI of marketing activities.
- You will support Account‑Based and Deal‑Based Marketing initiatives to nurture prospects through to deal closure.
- 5–7 years proven B2B marketing experience, preferably within Banking and Financial Services (BFSI).
- Lead generation marketing experience with tangible ROI evidence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous event marketing experience is highly desirable.
- Good budget management and data‑driven reporting skills.
- Enthusiastic about learning the wider business, products, and marketing impact.
- Experience multi‑tasking and managing stakeholders across Sales, Product, external vendors, partners, and agencies.
- Self‑starter, collaborative team player with an energetic “can‑do” attitude.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- French language skills a plus.
- Based in our Johannesburg Rosebank office.
- Hybrid working (office 2–3 times a week) with extensive travel across Africa, including French‑speaking countries.
- Beneficial:
Martech experience on tools such as , , Pardot, etc.
- Care about the lead generation marketing campaigns.
- Commit to identifying opportunities for marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with the regional sales team and broader marketing department.

- Maternity leave:
