Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to company standards
- Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and food safety
- Ensure mise en place is prepared and maintained at all times
- Assist with stock rotation and basic stock control
- Keep workstations clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations
- Follow recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines
- A genuine passion for food and the hospitality industry
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with good communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Culinary qualification (certificate or diploma) preferred
- Previous kitchen experience or in-service training (advantageous but not essential)
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
