Trendy Restaurant in the Johannesburg North area is looking for an Assistant General Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong front‑and‑back‑of‑house management background and be able to oversee a full restaurant operation. Applicants must be well‑spoken, fluent in English and possess exceptional customer‑relations skills.

We seek a candidate with +7 years of restaurant management experience, of which at least 4 years must be as a senior manager. The role requires strong staff management and training, ability to work under pressure, and a passion for delivering high‑quality dining experiences. Experience in an upmarket sit‑down restaurant environment is essential. Duties will include stock control, opening and closing procedures, and adherence to normal restaurant hours/shifts/weekend schedules.

• More than 7 years of restaurant management experience, minimum 4 years in a senior management role.
• Strong front‑and‑back‑of‑house management skills.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English.
• Exceptional customer‑relations skills.
• Strong staff management and training capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Preferred: long working history with previous employers and references that can be contacted.
• Experience in an up‑market sit‑down restaurant environment.

Salary: 20 – 25 K CTC, depending on experience. Please quote Reference RA104 when applying.
