The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over 12 months.

Food Assistant

R5,500 per month

Soweto, Gauteng

• Clean kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Greet customers and make them feel welcomed.
• Take orders and serve food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all food served is of high quality and meets restaurant standards.
• Clean tables, chairs, and counters after each customer leaves.
• Stock food and beverage items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and kitchen.
• Follow health and safety protocols as outlined by the restaurant.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

• South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the YES Programme before.
• Quality oriented.
• Attention to detail.
• No experience required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
