Job summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and contacting prospects and helping to build the KAL sales funnel. This position is responsible for responding to inbound requests, cold calling into prospect companies, qualifying potential opportunities, and scheduling initial product presentations between prospects and our sales engineering team. Over time, you will also be conducting product demonstrations and developing into a product expert promoting KAL products.

An ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter, eager to work in all aspects of sales from creating prospects, presenting, problem solving and managing the relationships. You will target the banks, other market players and work in tandem with our international sales team.

Skills and experience required

  • Experience in a sales role (preferably in the banking industry)
  • Ideally, Bachelor of Computer Science or any relevant qualification or Postgraduate in Sales and Marketing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and social media applications including Linked In
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident, assertive self-starter who is organized and goal driven
  • Flexible problem solver willing to take on any task
  • Team player
  • Ability to learn and think quickly
  • Must be fluent in English, our working language, but command of additional languages is desirable
  • Core responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture sales leads within the country for KAL and managing customer accounts
  • Product and pre-sales presentations to potential customers
  • Representing company products at the ATM and other KAL products related events and exhibition
  • Formulating sales and marketing strategies within designated market area
  • Preparing proposals, requests for information (RFIs) and request for proposals (RFPs)
  • Organizing product webinars and conference calls
  • Organizing technical meetings, proofs of concepts and technical training
  • Report on sales activities for top management
