About the Role

We are looking for an Accountant to manage and maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records, support payroll and audit processes, and ensure timely closure of accounting month, including specific requirements for Georgian accounting and payroll.

Candidates must be residents of Georgia and have a strong understanding of Georgian accounting laws, payroll regulations, and compliance requirements. This is a full-time, short-term contract role for 6-9 months.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in accounting or a similar finance-related role
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Experience with audit support and discrepancy resolution
  • Knowledge of Georgian payroll, tax regulations and filings
  • Experience using accounting software, experience with Quick Books Online is a plus
  • Previous experience working with international companies is a plus
Required Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders (finance, HR, vendors, event teams)
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Excel
Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle bookkeeping entries and update ledgers
  • Assist with audits, fact-checks, and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Assist in reviewing and verifying vendor expenses and approving payments as a backup function
  • Add client budgets and provide current Budget vs Accrual reports
  • Review invoices and payroll calculations for Georgian employees and coordinate approvals with HR
  • Calculate and process Georgian payroll and related tax filings
  • Submit monthly declarations and quarterly statistical reports in compliance with Georgian regulations
