Construction Accountant​/Bookkeeper

On behalf of a retained client, we are seeking an experienced Construction Accountant / Bookkeeper to join a growing civil construction company in Georgia.

The ideal candidate will have prior accounting experience within civil construction, sitework, utilities, heavy construction, or general contracting and understand construction-specific accounting and job costing.

• Accounts payable and receivable
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Payroll and general ledger accounting
• Job costing and cost-code tracking
• Progress billing, retainage, and change orders
• Vendor and subcontractor payments/documentation
• Month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Track project costs and profitability
• Assist with WIP reporting and cash-flow management
• Provide accurate financial reporting to ownership

• 3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience with job costing and project-based accounting
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work directly with ownership
