Senior Inventory Cost Accountant

Our client is seeking a Inventory Cost Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming accounting professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys working with inventory and cost accounting, and is looking to take the next step in their career.

• Participate in month-end closing procedures related to inventory valuation
• Review inventory receiving activity for accuracy and prepare required journal entries
• Maintain standard costs and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufactured products
• Review general ledger accounts and financial statements
• Document and maintain inventory costing procedures
• Reconcile inventory-related general ledger accounts
• Assist with audit preparation and support throughout the year

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-2+ years of accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with a large ERP system required (JD Edwards preferred)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory accounting
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
• Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
