What You'll Do- Greet visitors, answer calls, and ensure all customers receive exceptional service.
- Keep City Hall connected by directing inquiries and coordinating communication across departments.
- Provide essential administrative support that helps Facilities and City operations run smoothly.
- Support the daily functions of City Hall through organization, coordination, and customer service excellence.
- Strong customer service and professional interpersonal skills
- Clear communication skills and ability to stay calm in a customer‑facing role
- Strong organization, multi‑tasking, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi‑line phone systems
- Ability to assess needs and direct customers appropriately
- Familiarity with administrative support, data entry, and recordkeeping
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to speak, write, and thoroughly comprehend English
- Three (3) years of customer service, receptionist, administrative support, or related experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job
- Experience working in local government
- Ability to speak and comprehend a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, etc.)
The City of Johns Creek offers a competitive salary starting from $24.64 to $28.06 per hour for the non‑exempt Receptionist position. The role is non‑exempt.
Benefits include a 12% contribution of your base pay to the 401(a) plan and a $1 for $1 match up to 5% in the 457(b) retirement plans, potentially totaling up to 22%. Additional benefits include comprehensive healthcare options, financial adviser services at no extra cost, and other customary benefits for City of Johns Creek employees.
