The Superintendent is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by overseeing and managing all on-site activities during construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. The role coordinates subcontractors, monitors progress, maintains safety standards, and resolves any issues that arise on the job site, acting as the primary point of contact on the construction site to ensure smooth operation and success.
Job DescriptionAt a minimum, the Superintendent must have at least 5+ years of relevant experience with construction of concrete, bridges, structures, & roads and a site role responsible for leading and managing a multi-discipline workforce on heavy‑civil construction projects, and a valid and current driver’s license. High school diploma is preferred.
- Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
- Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) and adapt and learn as programs and processes change.
- Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal.
- Ability to embrace change in the workplace while encouraging others to seek innovative approaches.
- Ability to function effectively as a team player and collaborator.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, work additional and/or different hours, including but not limited to nights, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed, to best serve the business operations.
- Maintain a valid and current driver’s license.
