The Validation Engineering position is with Montage's Power Infrastructure group. This team is responsible for post silicon validation of the latest PMIC designs primarily focused on server applications.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, problem solver that is willing to work with the different teams to reach a conclusion.
Key Responsibilities:- Support our PMIC design team by providing validation of new silicon and confirming parts meet design specifications as well as any relevant industry compliance standards.
- Create evaluation and demo boards for both internal and external use.
- Participate in product design reviews, customer meetings, and perform schematic and layout reviews.
- Support marketing and FAE teams to drive new business opportunities as well as providing timely technical responses for existing customers.

Must Have
- 5 to 10 years of experience with post silicon debug and testing of switching mode power supplies.
- Hands-on familiarity with standard lab equipment including, but not limited to: oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, power supplies, and electronic loads.
- The ability to work and problem solve independently with minimal oversight.
- Experience with collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to both internal teams and external customers.
- Experience with Python for lab and test automation as well as data processing.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of PCB design and manufacturing using Cadence or KiCad design suites.
- Understanding of closed loop control theory in switching regulators.
- Experience with I2C and I3C both protocol and analog.
- Ability to debug board level issues and perform light rework.
- Open to travel to customer locations in North America for on-site debug.
