Our dedicated Energy & Infrastructure team is a leading provider of independent advisory services across Oil & Gas (up/mid/downstream and services), Power/Utilities & Renewables, Energy Transition, Waste & Environmental Services, Transportation & Logistics and Digital Infrastructure.
The Board Advisory & Opinions group works closely with other areas of the firm to provide boards of directors and special committees with advice in navigating complex transactions, which includes understanding strategic considerations, advising on alternatives, valuing complex businesses and securities, giving consideration to structuring issues, and rendering transaction opinions. The group primarily focuses on assisting companies, boards of directors and special committees in fulfilling fiduciary duties in high‑stakes strategic situations, complex transactions and conflict‑prone dynamics – with an emphasis on rigorous financial analysis and valuation.
This particular position also focuses on advising financial sponsors in conflict transactions, including continuation vehicles and cross‑fund transactions, and works alongside our Corporate Finance team and other industry experts across the firm on high‑profile mandates.
- Acting as a project manager on multiple simultaneous client projects
- Analyzing and explaining historical and projected financial information
- Performing business and financial due diligence
- Valuing companies, businesses and securities
- Directing Associates and Financial Analysts in the construction of complex financial models, financial analyses and client presentations
- Preparing board/special committee presentations supporting advice and opinions in close collaboration with the Corporate Finance team and other industry experts across the firm
- Helping pitch engagements and participating in business development initiatives
- Advising financial sponsors on conflict transactions, including continuation vehicles and cross‑fund transactions
- Playing a key role in continuing to build our Energy & Infrastructure Financial and Valuation Advisory coverage team
- Building relationships and maintaining direct contact with current and prospective clients
- At least six years of experience in financial services with at least three years of investment banking, valuation or related experience
- Experience in energy & infrastructure subsectors, ideally including Oil & Gas
- Advanced accounting, finance, financial modeling and analytical abilities
