IT Site Infrastructure Manager – Manufacturing & Technical Operations (MTO), Johns Creek, GA
Responsible for lifecycle management of IT infrastructure at a fast‑paced manufacturing site and deliver services such as data center, network, firewall, compute, backup, capacity, vulnerability, cybersecurity, PC lifecycle, and print management.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end‑to‑end integration and delivery of IT infrastructure services to the site.
- Maintain a stable infrastructure environment with maximum uptime for a 24x7x360 manufacturing site.
- Act as escalation point for incidents, problems, and provide on‑call support.
- Collaborate with business and global IT functions to identify, document, analyze and propose infrastructure solutions.
- Coordinate with the site IT Head on business requests, infrastructure planning and budgeting.
- Ensure alignment with strategic priorities and project deadlines.
- Adhere to security and compliance policies.
- Conduct audits, respond to findings and recommend improvements.
- Manage vendor and stakeholder relationships and communicate with technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Document and share knowledge to enable effective IT support.
- Mentor the third‑party deskside support team that supports campus.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience (high school + 13 yrs; associate + 9 yrs; MS + 2 yrs; PhD + 0 yrs).
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Onsite work location; no travel; no relocation; no sponsorship assistance.
- Degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Systems Security, Engineering) with 7‑10 years of relevant experience.
- Microsoft Windows and Network certifications.
- Extensive experience supporting a large Microsoft OS footprint (Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2016‑2025).
- Experience supporting complex WAN/LAN, Cisco, Juniper, VLAN, firewalls, DNS, VPN, SSO, wireless access points.
- Knowledge of on‑site data center operations (racking, cabling, power, cooling, fire suppression).
- Experience with Active Directory, file servers, DFS, storage, print servers, and printers.
- Background in cybersecurity and vulnerability management tools.
- Familiarity with incident, problem and change management processes.
- Understanding of cloud‑based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, SharePoint).
- Experience with MES and SCADA applications.
- Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Proficient technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience with Service Now for ticketing and reporting.
- Knowledge of computer system validation and GxP regulations.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and IT/OT landscape.
- Experience supporting PLCs, instrumentation, and related OT.
- Ability to manage 24x7 operations and work outside office hours.
- Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
